What You Watch Matters: The Power of Films.

More than ever, we need a spark of the divine.   These will help pull us through.

    How to Steal a Million
Humor and style is not just a faint echo. Audrey Hepburn shows us how its done.
Breakfast at Tiffany's is a must.  However, the movie is currently unavailable unless we have a pesky subscription, Breakfast at Tiffanys

Luckily we can still rent:  How to Steal a Million  The exquisite Peter O'Toole is perfect as a  gentleman thief.   Hugh Griffith playing her art forger dad alone is worth watching.  I can't say enough about this film.  It will leave you feeling better after watching, guaranteed.
The film has it all.  The cast is stellar. Featuring Liz, Richard Burton, a young Maggie Smith, Orson Wells, the beautiful gentlemen, Rod Taylor and Louis Jourdan, and more. it is a humorous cinematic gem. The older actors have a charm of their own.  (Margaret Rutherford and her husband Stringer Davis)

The essential Sci Fi.
They speak for themselves.

2001 A Space Odyssey

Soylent Green is a term often heard in sci-fi movies. If you haven’t seen the movie yet, make it a priority. Even if you already know its meaning, the film is a tribute to what I think are essential qualities that we need in our humanity.

Soylent Green

The original Matrix is also an absolute must. However, it has been diluted and diminished by the  hype that unfortunately the brilliant film has become a parody.   Not a fan of the sequels, —that’s just my opinion, of course.

TV Series

Mr. Robot

There is nothing more whimsical and light hearted than Merlin. It brings us into a fairy tale existence with wit and humor.

Warm hearted movies are for all humans, no matter the age.

             Get Paddington here

I'll start with Paddington (2014), often overshadowed by the version with Nicole Kidman. The original is a true gem with gentle humor and a message about the power of kindness. You'll feel better after watching it. For convenience, each film has an Amazon link for easy access to your collection.

The Polar Express

If we are not careful, as we age we turn into a Muggle mindset (Folks that do not have any magic).  Let's never lose sight of the bell calling us to attention.

The original film truly strikes the perfect balance. Songs like "Pure Imagination" and "I Want It Now," strike a human cord. The dialogue is equally memorable, with iconic lines such as "We are the music makers, and we are the dreamers of dreams," "The suspense is terrible, I hope it will last," and, of course, "The snozzberries taste like snozzberries." Can you recall any quotes from the sequel that are worth mentioning?
